About the Journal

The CCI journal publishes 14 issues annually in two volumes, including monthly issues and semi-monthly issues in February and November.  In addition, CCI produces a special issue each May featuring the abstracts from the SCAI Scientific Sessions. CCI was founded in 1975, has an Impact Factor of 2.55 and is owned and published by Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  All articles are subject to double-blind peer review and have a complete editorial evaluation prior to any decision regarding acceptability.

The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions was established in 1978 under the guidance of Drs. F. Mason Sones and Melvin P. Judkins. These scientists, whose contribution permitted the development and implementation of invasive cardiology, foresaw the need for an organization which would service and advance the discipline further. SCAI now has a membership of over 5,000 invasive/interventional cardiologists and cath lab team members across 75 countries.
